Yorkshire Wool Coffin

When it comes to a soft approach this is exquisitely made by Natural Legacy in Yorkshire, this natural coffin using pure new wool ensuring this is completely biodegradable. Wool is supported on a strong recycled cardboard frame. Material is soft to touch which can be comforting to sensitive or younger individuals. Each adult coffin is made using 3 fleeces.

The woollen outer layer is carefully hand fitted around a strong 100% recycled cardboard frame, which is reinforced with an MDF base board for rigidity and stability, and then carefully lined with a soft woollen wadding for a mattress base.

Each coffin interior is generously lined with cotton, attractively edged with jute and completed with a soft cotton covered and wool filled pillow, while the exterior is finished with a beautiful blanket stitch detail, jute handles and simple wooden toggle fastenings. Completed with a hand stitched personalised nameplate

Available in cream colour or grey. Ideal for natural burial or cremation. Matching cremated ashes container available.

Durability: All our coffins are certified to British Standards. They will come with a solid base or a charging board (cardboard range) and will have been tested to hold around 25 stone, otherwise the coffin will be made by bespoke order for plus size.

Accessories: You can upgrade handles, embellishments, liners, gowns, frills, ornaments such as various religious designs - ask for prices. Scattering tubes, cremated ashes caskets, natural urns, and memorial items for ashes keepsakes also available
