Our services in arranging all elements of the Funeral. Help completing all the statutory documentation required for the burial or cremation to take place, including liaising with Doctors, Hospitals, HM Coroner,Crematoria, Officiant and other suppliers where necessary, checking &distribution of all documents as required to authorities     

Arranged funeral discussions with you via phone, in our funeral home or at yours. Providing guidance on various options, providing written estimate of charges

Advice on registering the death, how and where to register the death

The collection of the person who has died from a local(within 25 mile radius) address, home, hospice or hospital day or evening, and in our care (based on up to 21 nights)

The care of the deceased person prior to funeral including gentle cleansing, preparation and presentation (if required) – embalming and hygienic treatment additional cost)

Ability of change of clothing and up to 5 appointments for family to spend time with person whilst in our care (by appointment in office hours)

The provision of our wood effect standard size coffin,lined with name plate & delivery suitable for cremation (or option to change) plus funeral gown if required

Provision of our classic black/burgundy hearse (within 25mile journey) with significant stops if you wish, plus up to 6 professional pallbearers to convey coffin

You choose date, time (Mon-Fri between 10am to 4pm) &location of funeral subject to availability

Bespoke Funeral Service (Cremation or Burial) from £1320

This choice provides everything you may want or need to have an attended custom made funeral package service, with no restrictions on limitations. It allows us together to create a unique funeral service for your loved one and reflecting their life, with the full and flexible support of Amanda-Louise and the team. From traditional, modern or contemporary in style - you decide on the tone and style. This includes:-

Our collection of cremated ashes, if required, on your behalf for you to collect from us within one month. Meeting with you to discuss arrangements, access to our 24 hour support & advice, help with completing registration, liaising with authorities and suppliers, admin tasks. To include our online memorial page, Funeral Director on day of funeral and overseeing proceedings, our bereavement support for adults and children. Our robust policies & procedures to ensure compliance is met and the person in our care is safe. With consent where required, taking digital evidence of fingerprint and keep safe in case you wish to have fingerprint jewellery in the future. To also include upkeep of our funeral home, equipment, insurances and our expertise.

Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15  miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care

Care of the deceased person before the funeral in appropriate facilities. The deceased person will be kept at both the funeral director’s (branch premises 3 Blenheim Road, Minehead ,Somerset) (and at other) non-branch premises ) – based on up to 14 nights

As this is a tailored made plan, here are some of the choices you will need to consider and ADD on the costs (shown in our downloadable brochure) or for example:

1.Coffins & Urns – ie a cherry veneered standard size traditional coffin starts at £500 (other coffins available), scatter tubes at £35, wooden caskets from £80

2.Hearse on the day of Funeral– our private vehicle from £245 or our traditional hearse from £300 or horse drawn hearse from £1300, motorcycle hearse from £1100 (or ask about alternative hearses) 3 x pallbearers/carriers £225, additional bearer £75

3.Cortege routes for example home, church, and cemetery or church to cremation, or stopping off at certain locations on route to funeral incur cost from £225

4.Limousine(s) to family to arrive with the hearse £300

5.Ceremony leader(clergy or celebrant religious or secular) – we work with some amazing people who can help you put together the service and lead it on the day, prices range from £217 to £350 typically) or ask Amanda-Louise availability as ceremony leader

6.Orders of Service designing £25 set up charge, and printing from £2.50 per copy

7. Flowers from £75

8. If Cremation: Cremation with Chapel Fees (£1010 Taunton, from £950 Sedgemoor, or other crematorium prices vary) and if Coroner not involved Dr’s medical fee £82

9.If Burial: (price varies according to residency and if you already own a plot)

Our Minehead Funeral Choice

This package includes:-

·       Arranged funeral discussion with you (typically by telephone or in our funeral home)

·       The collection of the person who has died from a local(within 15 mile radius) address, home, hospice or hospital during normal working hours, and in our care (based on up to 14 nights)

·       Change of their clothing if required

·       The provision of our wood effect standard size coffin suitable for cremation, fully lined with name plate & delivery (or can change choice at fee)

·       A private service at Amanda-Louise Funeral Home for up to40 people to include food & drink

·       Admin of media service to show photo(s) on our TV screen

·       Our inhouse Celebrant services & fee

·       We choose date, time, location of unattended cremation, using our private vehicle to convey coffin to local crematorium

·       Unattended Cremation fee based using Sedgemoor

·       Medical Cert fee (if required)

Our Greener Funeral Choice

This package includes:-

·       Arranged funeral discussion with you (typically by telephone, in our funeral home or at yours)

·       The collection of the person who has died from a local(within 25 mile radius) address, home, hospice or hospital day or evening, and in our care (based on up to 14 nights)

·       Providing gentle personal care including washing and if required, makeup, haircare, dressing in your alternative clothing of natural fibres

·       The provision of a value wicker standard size coffin with name plate & delivery (or extra cost/option to upgrade to wicker coffin hand weaved in Somerset Wicker or cardboard)

·       Family visit with person in our care (by appointment for up to an hour in office hours) if required

·       Provision for a natural graveside setting for a ceremony& committal, location of your choice (based on up to 60 miles)

·       Hearse (or our hearsette) and 4 bearers on day of funeral to convey coffin direct to burial ground

·       Assistance with ordering flowers, newspaper notices

·       Collection & administration of charitable donations if required

1.Direct Cremation (Bronze Essentials) £1395 includes:-

A committal at a crematorium or burial (we choose the date, time and location) with no attendance by family or relatives. All the legal processes completed within 2 weeks and includes:

·       Completing of all statutory documentation required for the cremation to take place, including liaising with Doctors and HM Coroner if necessary

·       Arranged funeral discussion with you (typically by telephone or in our funeral home)

·      The collection of the person who has died from a local (within 15 miles radius) home, hospice or hospital (includes Musgrove) during normal working hours

·       The care of the deceased person prior to cremation (based on up to 14 nights)

·       We choose, date, time, location of crematorium, plus our choice of basic standard size coffin suitable for cremation (typically wood effect)

·       Transfer vehicle of the deceased in coffin to a local crematorium of our choice, with the necessary personnel

·       Funeral announcement on our website

·       Cremation fee based using Sedgemoor

·       Medical cert fee (if required)

·       We collect cremated ashes (if required) and you collect from our funeral home within 1 month

‍2.Direct Cremation (Silver Essentials) £1595

Includes as per bronze essentials above plus an opportunity to spend time with the person who has died in our funeral home before cremation and/or change of clothing

3.Direct Attended Cremation (Gold Essentials) £2395

Includes as per silver essentials above plus opportunity for up to 8 family and friends to attend crematoria with our funeral director for a brief moment to say farewell for reflection service and chance to listen to 2 pieces of music and our funeral director or family member to say brief words if you wish

The included fee of cremation may change as they are independently set costs by crematorium, we will let you know if they have increased their charge which will be payable by you. Our Simple Farewell Cremation Choice

What's included:-

·      Completing of all statutory documentation required for the cremation to take place, including liaising with Doctors and HM Coroner if necessary

·       Arranged funeral discussion with you (typically by telephone or in our funeral home)

·       The provision of a simple wood effect standard size coffin suitable for cremation fully lined with name plate & delivery

·       You choose 8.30, 9 or 9.30am Chapel time at Sedgemoor Crematorium (subject to availability) Mon-Thur with our Funeral Director (or family) officiating short ceremony (religious or non-religious)

·       Use of our funeral wreath, or you organise flowers

·       Our choice of vehicle to transfer of the deceased in coffin direct to crematorium, using wheeled bier into chapel
