More About Us - We Do More Than Just Funerals
Caring for People, the Departed and Our Environment
The community sits at the heart of what we do. We champion to be a force of good creating social and environmental impacts. So we are committed to supporting positive pathways to feel less isolated, fight hunger, climate change and supporting girls and women in sports.
Our 'Never By Yourself' Support
You may be learning to live with a very recent loss. Or perhaps you’re a few years down the road from your bereavement. Maybe you’ve never had the chance to explore your feelings from a death that happened decades ago.
Our free bereavement group is a welcoming space where you can talk about your memories, feelings or sadness without fear of judgement.
We also offer a variety of bereavement resources, memorial events and our kettle is always on whenever you need a chat and a cuppa.
Our 'Never Go Hungry' Support
Our work with West Somerset Food Cupboard helps provide emergency food for those in crisis.
Our 'Never Underestimate the Value of Trees' Support
We know funerals and our own business will have an impact on our environment, so we wanted to reverse some of those climate negative impacts; being more planet positive. So we joined with Carma Earth, our impact partner who are B Corp Certified, to create a solution.
Amanda-Louise from her own private monies subscribes each month to pay for a tree to be planted here in the UK. These UK trees are planted via The Green Task Force, who provide a pathway to employment for Veterans and service leavers using nature based therapy.
Supporting Girls and Women in Sports
We recognise the impact of supporting the development of girls and women in rugby. In recent years on the international scene our ladies England players have proven success, so we sponsor a county and local player, plus campaign for further sponsorship and funding on the development of girls and women locally to be our next generation of players and fans.
Our Commitment to Businesses
We are committed to working in collaboration with our suppliers locally and in the UK. Our only one alternative is in Indonesia where we work with a fair trade village supplying a simple wicker coffin.
Thankyou for Considering Amanda-Louise Funeral Services
