Amanda-Louise Funeral Director Services is an independent modern, forward thinking, and client centric Funeral Home. Our focus is to provide expertly planned and quality executed funerals that our families want and need with our personalised service approach. We believe some aspects of the funeral industry are outdated and there is a need to push boundaries so that everyone feels comfortable to talk about funerals, expect genuine choice without judgement, and transparency and trust is paramount.

No experience in the funeral profession is required, nor are qualifications as we provide training ensuring you are supported throughout. It appeals to us if you are kind, creative, reliable, sensitive, smart appearance, have emotional intelligence, keen to support bereaved people and natural enthusiasm to work for a local business at the cutting edge of changing the funeral profession. Please note, we are not able to work with anyone who has been significantly bereaved within the last 2 years.

Bearer/Funeral Assistant (part time/ad hoc casual hours)

Are you interested in casual work to supplement your existing income? We are currently looking to recruit which will involve the following tasks:-

• Bearing - carrying and where appropriate, lowering the coffin
• Supporting us collect and bring someone into our care
• Some driving (where appropriate) - over 21 with clean driving licence to drive our vehicle
• Helping with catering tasks at funeral receptions
• Any other ad-hoc duties at a funeral

Most of the work will be in and around Somerset and Devon, although on occasions we travel further afield (transport always provided). Our funeral home is based in Minehead, West Somerset.
