Our Somerset Natural Coffin Range - an eco-friendly choice

The Country Range offers a selection of coffins which are used using sustainable materials, are readily biodegradable and are suitable for all types of natural or traditional burials and cremations. They have also been tested for the suitability and are accepted for cremation.The range of products has a low carbon footprint and offers a social and ethical benefit, be it to a community involved with their manufacture or through our supplier's donations to Groundwork UK or our Greener Goodbyes initiatives.

Somerset Willow -  this beautiful range of the willow ‘wicker’ coffins that reflect the unique landscape of the Somerset levels and the surrounding areas where the willow is farmed. An oval style coffin made with buff and white willow. This style tapers from one end to the foot. Price from £950

Traditional Rainbow - A definite choice to be eye catching with all the colours of the rainbow,available in both curved end or traditional shape. These may look simple but they have been hand-worked by traditional basket weavers using age old methods that havent changed much over the last 2000 years offering a strong and beautifully grown and woven locally too. The Haymour Willow - An oval style coffin made with our rich brown steamed willow. This beautiful willow ‘wicker’ coffin reflects the unique landscape of the Somerset levels and the surrounding areas where the willow is farmed. Price from £1165

Coloured Willow - Each of these wicker coffins are handcrafted to every unique request. Youchoose from 17 painted finishes, then there's 13 natural hand-dyed colours to personalise bands of the woven willow into the coffin. You can choose natural willow, rope or woven handles in complimenting colours providing a truly personalised tribute, all beautifully weaved locally to us in Somerset. The painted willow coffins are hand-finished using a range of natural water-based paint colours. The colours are applied without chemical or lacquer processing, so you can be assured the process is natural and not detrimental to the environment. Prices from £1250

Somerset Living Coffin - This environmentally friendly coffin has been hand weaved by our talented weavers in Somerset who have created these beautiful living coffins (trademarked to somerset willow coffins who are based right on our doorstep in somerset) Please note The Living Coffin is not suitable for cremation. The willow stems and leaves on this coffin will continue to grow for up to two weeks after delivery to us, so we cannot guarantee that the coffin will not continue growing once buried, so this is offered for natural or burial burials only.
