‍Taunton Deane Crematorium is on the western side of the town towards Wellington and is easily reached by car and public transport.

It was opened in 1963, and built by a local firm using stone from local quarries. The Crematorium was presented with a Civic Award in 1965 and became a grade 2 listed building in 1998 because of its special architectural interest.

It is set in beautifully landscaped grounds. Full graves, cremated remains graves and memorials for remembrance are available.

The large chapel can seat 120 people comfortably. Attendance at services can exceed 300 people with standing. You can listen to pre-recorded music, or live musicians. Chapel also has organ. Availability to webcast the funeral (ideal for those who cannot attend can watch), and have photo slides shown during service on the 2 big screens. Has waiting rooms, toilets, plenty of parking including disabled access.
