Here at Amanda-Louise Lady Funerals we are pleased to offer a library of grief support books, free of charge, to help towards healing from the death of a loved one.

Available to the families we serve including their relatives and friends, as well as to the community at large. Please reach out to us if you are interested in borrowing our books.

How Our Grief Lending Library Works

• 1. Visit our library inside our beautiful calm space in our Minehead funeral home
• 2. Speak to our friendly staff member
• 3. Browse our collection
• 4. Borrow a book to cherish at home (we have a signed in and out diary)
• 5. Return the book by the agreed date

Amanda-Louise and team will be delighted to guide you through the selection or recommend any online books and videos, and as always, assist with any questions you may have.

Our Bereavement Support and Resources

We understand everyone grieves in their own way and is different for each person. So we offer a variety of different support to take a step towards the healing journey-

• 1. Our focus is to support you to plan a meaningful funeral that represents the very essence of the person who has died, and what they meant to you
• 2. During the planning stages, our free bereavement support is included for adults and children to help them come to terms with their loss
• 3. Our Grief Lending Library can bring a source of comfort from words read and enables the bereaved to pause and reflect
• 4. Our Fiction Lending Library offers to lend everyday books for recreational reading
• 5. Our time for the bereaved to offer comfort and shared experiences at our regular coffee meet ups and talks
• 6. Access to our preferred grief counselling for therapeutic therapy, for those who need structured support (Woven Threads Counselling Somerset)
