Here at Amanda-Louise Funeral Services, the ladies understand that certain times of year can be traumatic for those who have lost a loved one.  This can be Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, on the date of their death, or even when most of us are feeling ‘this is the most wonderous time of the year’ aka Christmas and New Year.

We recognise that while some may be celebrating on these occasions, when someone has suffered a loss it can be a very different experience.

For this reason, our unrivalled services, have installed a Letters to Heaven And/Or  To A Loved One Post Box in our funeral home in Blenheim Road, Minehead, West Somerset. Anyone is welcome to post a letter or card, and is completely confidential.

For some, writing thoughts and emotions down is a positive step in looking after oneself following a bereavement.  As we are trained in bereavement counselling, we know that certain days of the year can be a trigger, so you may find comfort in putting pen to paper.

The post box is not owned or serviced by Royal Mail, so no address or stamp is needed on any messages to loved ones put into it.

We also have a condolence book in our funeral home, for anyone who wants to write a message too.

We understand that coming to terms with the loss of your loved one will be a personal journey, there is no timeframe on all the emotions that grief can bring.
