What is the 'Tell Us Once' service?
It can be overwhelming and lots of organisations to contact when someone you love has died, so the Government offer a useful service called 'Tell me Once' which means that you can opt in to just informing them once, and they will let all their other departments know.
This service which started in 2011 is proving supportive as it means families dont have the upset of having to make numerous calls about the death, or having to provide each department with a death certificate.
How Does This Service Work?
When you register the death, the Registration Service will give you an unique reference number for the ‘Tell Us Once Service’. You then use that reference number online to register the details
