Amanda-Louise Funeral Services Strengths Support to Womens Rugby
Our funeral directors services are positioned proudly at the heart of the Somerset community have continued their support of womens rugby by sponsoring a player from Winscombe's rugby football club.
The team at Amanda-Louise Funeral Directors are delighted to have agreed to be an official sponsor for rugby player Alice Knight

"Winscombe RFC are striving to create the best environment for our players to thrive and deliver results both on and off the pitch. Our player sponsorship initiative aims to take the financial strain away from the squad who already commit countless hours to training and match fixtures; putting their bodies on the line for our club week in, week out. We are reaching out to local companies, the community and the commercial sector surrounding." - Winscombe RFC
Winscombe RFC asked for help to support in keeping their players focussed and their club progressing. Each player sponsor package provides the funds for playing kit, training equipment, physio costs, travel, coaching, grounds maintenance, compliance, utilities and more.
Here at Amanda-Louise Funeral Services, Minehead's Lady Funeral Directors, we recognise the impact of sponsorship and funding on the development of women's rugby, so we have agreed to sponsor a player and as Alice is part of our wider family, it made perfect sense to offer our support.

Background of this player
Alice started her rugby at Minehead Barbarians as a girl before transferring to North Dorset Club in Gillingham. She successfully achieved Under 18s player for Dorset & Wiltshire County. As an adult she moved local club to Taunton and has successfully become one of our Somerset County Ladies players, and is seen on their handbook in action.

Recognising her talent, the coach from local club Winscombe approached Alice to join their club who at a higher level are able to reach out for sponsorship for their players.

If other businesses recognise the impact of funding on the development of women's rugby then there are other players needing sponsorship. Whilst for years many local clubs have seen girls and womens rugby as add on to their boys and mens teams, this year has certainly proven on the international scene of rugby with our England players, that with continued investment, the sport is posed for even greater success for girls and womens rugby. - Amanda-Louise

Wishing all the girls and ladies in sport to be our next generation of players and fans.
